these wonderful women who will share with us this weekend!

HEATHER MCGARVEY

Heather McGarvey grew up in a small farming community in rural Pennsylvania USA. At a young age she fell in love with music and decided to play the oboe. Her love of music continued to grow and eventually she pursued two degrees in Music Performance while playing in several professional orchestras. After college Heather took a short term missions trip to Romania where she fell in love with the people and culture. Several years later she moved to Romania full time to teach music and use the expressive arts to help kids in the orphanages and special needs schools express themselves in a safe and loving environment. During these years of ministry Heather's passion for prayer and passion for creative expression combined into opportunities to lead concerts of prayer and creative prayer stations with young and old alike. Heather loves playing music, going for walks, listening to podcasts, doing woodworking, and making scones.

LOURDES ARBONA

Lourdes Arbona is originally from Southern California and is Mexican American. She has served in the United States Army and now lives in Ramstein, Germany with her husband. Frontline Community Church is her church, where she volunteers as a counselor and serves alongside her husband, who is an associate pastor. Lourdes holds a master’s degree in social work and is a licensed clinical social worker, with experience in counseling, teaching, mentoring, and ministry both inside and outside the church. She is a mom to adult children and a proud grandma who loves meaningful conversations, faith and community, good coffee, and celebrating life with a lighthearted sense of humor. Her heart is to offer authentic support rooted in biblical wisdom, creating space for honest conversations that lead to clarity and hope.

KERSTIN SWART

Kerstin Swart was born in the late 1970s and fondly remembers a childhood filled with outdoor play and life before GPS. She is married to a South African and is a loving mom to two wonderful young adult children, whom she greatly enjoys spending time with. Kerstin has known and loved the Lord her whole life and has a deep passion for God’s Word, especially through the Inductive Bible Study method. A teacher by trade, she has lived and worked on four continents, experiences that have shaped her heart for people and cultures. In her free time, she enjoys sewing, traveling Europe by train, supporting refugee communities, and sharing meaningful moments with her family.

JACKI FAULKNER

Jacki Faulkner is a lifelong learner who tries to see God’s wisdom, and sense of humor, on this journey of life. How else to explain having a spouse whose personality & way of processing life is the exact opposite of hers, having 1 son but 2 daughters despite being very clear about wanting only boys, and living 22 years in a highly extroverted, unorganized culture as a plan-making introvert?! All of this has shown her the need to be open to God’s work and having grace with herself, things she hopes for others, too.

Jacki’s ministry experience includes everything from nursery duty as a teen, many years in children’s ministry, to discipleship and leadership training as a missionary in Italy. Together with her husband, Tim, she now calls Frankfurt home and has the privilege of serving the churches of the IBC. Jacki enjoys time with family and travel, especially if it includes good food, chocolate, or coffee.

NATY TULLY

I’m Naty (short for Natalie), a citizen of three countries who bleeds Moldovan. For over 20 years, my husband and I have served with the International Church in Bucharest. I lead Women’s Ministry at our church, serve on the International Baptist Convention Women’s Team, and create biblical content online in English and Romanian. I’m energized by charting the Bible, writing and rainy days. My motto is Psalm 16:2, “You are my Lord, apart from you I have no good thing.”

WORSHIP TEAM

We are the IBC ladies‘ worship team and are excited to be leading you in praise and worship again this year!

Our team comprises of ladies from all over the globe, who each serve in their local IBC churches in the music ministry. It’s our joy to be serving together again in the company of the IBC ladies as we meet in Rehe, Germany. Worshipping our great God together with you has been such a blessing throughout these past years and we trust that once again, the name of Jesus will be glorified in our gatherings.

Meet the team – Naldy from IBC Eindhoven on acoustic guitar and vocals, Cathy from IBC Hoensbroek on keyboard and vocals, Wendi from IBC Münich on Cajon, Ellice from IBC Madrid on guitar and vocals and Nicola from IBC Bremen, who will be leading.

We have nicknamed our team BY HIS GRACE – and it truly is all by His grace! It’s from Him and for Him!

Looking forward to seeing you ladies in April!

Come be refreshed in Christ together!
