About Dan

Dan has been married to Sharon the “love of his life” for 45 years. They currently live in San Diego, CA on the west coast of the United States. They are very proud of their three “amazing” adult children – Jon, Eric and Jackie – who are all married, pursuing careers of their own and raising four wonderful grandchildren who by their grandparent’s reports are the “cutest kids in the world!”

Dan and Sharon served as the Interim Pastor Couple of the Int’l Baptist Church of Budapest (and two other U.S. churches), after completing three long-term, rewarding pastorates lasting 40 years. During that season, Dan served as an Associate Director of Church Planting with Converge, a movement formerly known as the Baptist General Conference.

Dan’s educational journey led him to a Doctor of Ministry degree at Fuller Seminary in CA (1994); a Master of Divinity at Bethel Seminary in MN (1980); and a college degree at University of California, San Diego (1974). In addition, Dan was part of the IBC’s Latin American Lead Team for 7 years. 

Dan’s vision is to pull together a team of leaders who will ask the Lord to show them how to lead a movement of churches who are passionate about loving their Int’l communities in the name of Jesus! His dream is to join a team of leaders who will devote themselves to helping churches experience the power and presence of God through living out a biblical MISSION, a God-given VISION, a unique set of CORE VALUES, and (4) a 3-5 YEAR STRATEGIC PLAN resulting reproducing new disciples, new leaders and new daughter churches. All of this is to be  done as a way of loving their communities in the name of Jesus!
