The
International Baptist Convention invites you to its 50th anniversary, July
5-10, 2008, in Interlaken, Switzerland. This time of JUBILEE promises to
celebrate our convention’s past, consider our churches today and contemplate
our calling for the future.

Morning Speaker: Richard
Blackaby; Evening Speaker: Denton Lotz

Babbie
Mason (USA), award-winning Christian singer, composer and worship leader,
will join us in praise of God while also sharing her view of God’s
provision over her 25 years of ministry.

The
Emmanuel Gospel Choir (Paris), will assist Babbie Mason in leading worship,
adding their own “blues-gospel” style to our praises of God in a
mini-concert on Saturday evening.

IBC’s
‘Cloud of Witnesses’: Herbert Stout, Elizabeth Merritt and others who
played a great role in our convention’s history will invite us into their
memories of God’s provision in the life of the IBC.

| Morning Speaker:
Richard Blackaby
Richard Blackaby was
the president of the Canadian Southern Baptist Seminary in Cochrane,
Alberta for 13 years. He continues his close relationship with the
Seminary by serving as its Chancellor. Richard is the president of
Blackaby Ministries International and resides in Cochrane, Alberta
Canada.
Richard has written or co-authored with his father
18 books, including: Spiritual Leadership: Moving People on to God’s
Agenda; Experiencing God: Day by Day; Hearing God’s Voice; Called to Be
God’s Leader: Lessons from the Life of Joshua. Richard travels
internationally speaking on spiritual leadership and the Christian life.

| Evening Speaker:
Denton Lotz
An
internationally acclaimed speaker and author, Denton Lotz is recognized
for his work as a missiologist who looks at how the context in which
people live can best be used to bring them to the Gospel of Jesus
Christ. He currently serves as President of the International Religious
Liberty Association. Formerly the General Secretary of the Baptist World
Alliance from 1988 until 2007, Lotz began his long career of mission and
ministry by serving in Eastern and Central Europe as a missionary of the
Board of International Ministries of the American Baptist Churches USA.
While in Europe, he taught for 11 years at the Baptist Theological
Seminary, Rüschlikon, Switzerland. In 1970, he received the Doctor of
Theology from the University of Hamburg, Germany. Lotz was honored by
the BWA as the first-ever General Secretary Emeritus.
