Developing as a Ministry Leader

Learning to Lead with

Passion and Excellence

In October 2014 the International Baptist Convention will launch a two-year leadership training series entitled “Developing as a Ministry Leader”.  This dynamic training opportunity will consist of a series of four training modules that will utilize both face-to-face and Internet training.  The training series will be facilitated by Greg Cole (see bio information below). The first module will begin during this year’s Annual Convention Meeting (October 27 – 29, 2014) in Ramstein, Germany, with four hours of face-to-face training, followed by five monthly training sessions via the Internet.  The training is open to anyone who would like to attend, and there is no cost. We plan to record the face-to-face sessions as videos for those who cannot attend the Annual Convention Meeting but would like to be a part of the training program. The specific details of the Internet component will be shared during the face-to-face training in Ramstein.

The first module is entitled Foundations of Ministry Leadership and will cover such topics as:

Why do we need ministry leaders?

           What exactly is ministry leadership?

The “being” and “doing” of ministry leadership.

The seven foundational elements of ministry leadership.

Future modules will cover core tasks of ministry leadership, communicating as a ministry leader, and managing conflict as a ministry leader.
